Origin:<\/strong> These lipids are typically produced through biotechnology (fermentation) or derived from plant sources to be identical in structure to those naturally found in human skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What it does:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ceramides are ingredients designed to directly repair and replenish the skin’s natural barrier. Each component has a specific, synergistic role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Ceramide AP (Ceramide 6 II) and Ceramide NP (Ceramide 3):<\/strong> Fundamental building blocks of the stratum corneum’s lipid layers. They restore cohesion and water-holding capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Ceramide EOP (Ceramide 1):<\/strong> A unique, long-chain “rivet” ceramide that links lipid layers together, dramatically strengthening the barrier and reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
