Origin:<\/strong> A meroterpene (a phenolic compound) naturally derived from the seeds and leaves of the babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia<\/em>), a plant used for centuries in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine. Obtained via solvent-free extraction or biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What it does:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bakuchiol is a plant-powered, clinically studied alternative to retinol that has gained recognition as one of the most effective retinol-like actives available. Primary functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Why we use it:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    We selected bakuchiol as the renewal active in our overnight repair cream for its exceptional efficacy-to-gentleness ratio. At 1% concentration, it delivers the visible results without the compromise of irritation. It also pairs exceptionally well with ceramides and barrier-repair ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bakuchiol is not retinol<\/strong> \u2013 it is a different molecule with a different mechanism of action. However, clinical studies have demonstrated its comparable efficacy to retinol in improving photoaging, with a significantly superior tolerability profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
