Origin:<\/strong> A synthetic fragrance compound with a sweet, floral scent reminiscent of lily of the valley, linden blossom, or lilac. It can be produced synthetically or derived from certain essential oils via hydration of citronellal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What it does:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Hydroxycitronellal is a well-known fragrance allergen regulated by the EU. It is valued for its pleasant floral scent profile. Primary function:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Perfuming:<\/strong> Contributes a strong, sweet, floral scent (like lily of the valley, linden) to fragrance compositions .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Why we use it:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    This ingredient is not added separately to our formulations. It arrives naturally as a constituent of essential oils within our pre-blended fragrance substance.
    EU Regulation (EC) No 1223\/2009 requires individual disclosure of certain fragrance allergens when present above specific thresholds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • 0.01%<\/strong> in rinse-off products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Geraniol is one of the 26 established fragrance allergens regulated under Annex III of the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223\/2009.
