Origin: Cold-pressed from the bran (outer layer) of rice grains (Oryza sativa). A traditional ingredient in Asian skincare, valued for centuries for its nourishing and protective properties.

What it does:

Rice bran oil is a lightweight, nutrient-rich emollient oil prized for its unique composition of vitamins, sterols, and antioxidants. Its primary functions are:

1. Lightweight emollient: Absorbs quickly without greasiness. Leaves skin soft, smooth, and comfortably nourished.
2. Antioxidant protection: Exceptionally rich in gamma-oryzanol and ferulic acid – both potent antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals and protect skin from environmental stress.
3. Skin softening: Contains squalene and vitamin E. Helps maintain suppleness and supports barrier function.
4. Soothing: Known for its calming properties. Gentle enough for sensitive or irritated skin.

Why we use it:

We include Rice Bran Oil in our overnight repair cream as a nourishing, antioxidant-rich emollient. It delivers lightweight softness while gamma-oryzanol and ferulic acid quietly support the skin’s overnight recovery.

Fatty acid profile: Approximately 38% oleic acid, 34% linoleic acid. Balanced, stable, and skin-compatible.

Naturally resistant to oxidation. Stays fresh longer than many delicate plant oils.
